5 Weeks Old!!

Today the puppies are 5 weeks old!! They will be ready to go to their new homes in just 3 more weeks!! Its going so fast.....

The puppies were introduced to the outdoors yesterday. They loved it!! They romped and played around like crazy!!

Their whelping box is getting a bit small with so many of them! They were only outside for a little while in the morning since it is already in triple digits here. Too hot for babies!!

This morning we opened the doggy door at 5:30 am. They are already doing very well figuring out the doggy door. The minute they got outside, most of them started taking care of business (going potty) Which means they are getting it!!

The puppies love to eat.... most of them weigh around 5 1/2 pounds.... with a few at 6 and one just under 7 pounds!!


They only get to nurse with mom standing up now.....

We spend a lot of time observing the puppies.....watching them to see their temperaments and characters. I have been very happy with these guys. They are happy, contented puppies that are quiet and almost never cry or bark. They are playful but not at all hyper. They are actually a pretty mellow bunch but most are also very confident and brave! A few are more "mushy" mellow than others.... but they all love being held and cuddled! We have them spend a lot of time on their backs... and almost all are very comfortable in that position!

After an hour playing around outside this morning... they all
CRASHED!

I need everyone to email me again EXACTLY what temperament they want. What are you looking for in your new companion? Do you want a dog that will lay around a lot or one that wants to go in the car, fetch and play? Also let me know if you have a favorite at the moment....I will post individual pictures today too....We will be picking in 2 weeks!!
